
Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by Good Company Handyman, LLC (“Good Company”). By accepting a quote, scheduling service, or submitting payment, the client agrees to these terms. These terms apply to all clients unless modified in writing and signed by Good Company.
2. Services Provided
Good Company offers a range of handyman, maintenance, and remodeling services. The scope of work for each project will be outlined in a written quote or work agreement prior to scheduling.
3. Quotes

All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued.

Quotes are based on available information. If unforeseen issues arise (e.g., hidden damage, structural concerns, inaccessible components), pricing may be adjusted.

Any client-requested change to the scope of work requires updated pricing or a change order.
4. Booking, Deposits & Cancellation Deposits

A deposit is required to reserve time on the schedule and/or to purchase materials.

No work is scheduled until the deposit is received.
-
Deposit amounts will be outlined on the quote or invoice and will be applied to the final job invoice.
Good Company reserves the right to modify deposit requirements based on job complexity, materials needed, or scheduling demands.

Deposit Refunds

Deposits are refundable within 48 hours of payment if materials have not been ordered and work has not begun.

After 48 hours or once materials are purchased, deposits become non-refundable.

Non-refundable deposits may be applied to future work for up to 6 months (management discretion).
Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellations within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Rescheduling is allowed without penalty with at least 24 hours’ notice.

If Good Company arrives and cannot work due to lack of access, unsafe conditions, or unpreparedness, a trip fee may apply.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Accepted payments: cash, check, credit card, debit card, ACH, and electronic transfer (e.g., Zelle).

Late payments incur 20% monthly interest.
-
Non-payment may result in collections or legal action, and the client is responsible for associated fees.

Returned checks incur bank and service fees.

6. Warranty & Quality Guarantee
Good Company provides a 3-day workmanship warranty.
Warranty excludes:

Client-supplied materials
-
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, pets, or unrelated system issues
-
Manufacturer defects (handled directly with the manufacturer)

Pre-existing issues not addressed as part of the work scope

Failures due to environmental conditions
Warranty claims must be reported within 3 days of completion or of the issue becoming apparent.

7. Liability

Good Company is fully insured.

Good Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Clients must disclose known hazards (e.g., electrical, plumbing, structural, mold, pests).

Good Company is not responsible for damage resulting from undisclosed issues or unsafe work environments.

8. Client Responsibilities
Clients must:

Provide safe access and a clean, prepared workspace.

Remove fragile or valuable items from the work area.
-
Ensure pets and children are kept away from work zones.
-
Provide access at scheduled times.
Delays caused by client unpreparedness may result in additional fees.

9. Use of Materials

Good Company uses materials selected to meet project needs and industry standards.
-
Clients may supply their own materials; however, Good Company is not responsible for failures, delays, defects, or compatibility issues linked to client-provided materials.

Special-order and custom materials are non-returnable and non-refundable.

10. Variations & Additional Work

Any change to the agreed scope must be approved in writing.
-
Additional work will be billed at the agreed rate or via updated quote.

On-site verbal requests constitute authorization for additional work.

11. Privacy Policy

Client information is collected only for business purposes and is not shared with third parties except as necessary (e.g., payment processing, legal compliance).

Good Company complies with applicable privacy laws.

12. Termination of Services
Good Company may terminate services if the client:

Engages in abusive or unsafe behavior

Creates hazardous work conditions

Fails to comply with these Terms & Conditions

13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.

14. Dispute Resolution
Both parties agree to attempt mediation prior to pursuing legal action.
